Depending on the grid from which you want to export data, there can be four options available to export records to a Comma Separated Variable (CSV) format file. These are:
- CSV
- CSV Eclipss
- CSV RWS
- CSV LIMS
The CSV option creates a generic CSV file containing the records exactly as shown in the grid at the time of export, and this option is available in all grids. The other three CSV formats allow load tickets to be exported in specific formats suitable for import into other apps, and are only available from load ticket grids.
To export data in a grid to a CSV file:
- Adjust the layout of the grid to show the columns you need, in the order you would like them.
- Filter the records that are displayed in the grid to include only the records that you want to export.
- Click the Export button
at the top-right corner of the grid to open the export options and select the appropriate CSV item from the menu. - Depending on your browser settings, you will have the option to either open or save the file.
The delimiter used between field names/values and character used for the decimal point in the exported file depends on the language that you have selected in the app and the List Separator regional setting on your computer. For example, if you select English as the language a comma is used as the field delimiter and a period is used as the decimal character, whereas if you select Finnish as the language a semi-colon is used as the field delimiter and a comma is used as the decimal character.
Once you like the format of the output, give the layout you used to create the export file a name in the Enter layout name or select from list text field above the grid and save it for re-use using the options that open from the Layout button 
. You can use filters, column sorting and set the column widths.
