Merged Load and Trip Tickets

The Loads > Merged Load and Trip Tickets page provides a combined (blended) view of load ticket and trip ticket records. It includes:

  • Loads that have both a trip ticket and a load ticket.
  • Loads that have only a trip ticket.
  • Loads that have only a load ticket.

All trip tickets and load tickets that are visible to you in CFXchange are displayed (including tickets that have been shared with you).

This allows all load data to be viewed in one place, displaying the most accurate and complete information available.

If you want to view and/or edit the details for a particular Trip Ticket, use
the hyperlink in the Trip Ticket field for tickets that have Merge Type = T (Trip Ticket) or M (Merged Ticket). If your organization has the ability to edit the ticket in the Trip Tickets page, the link is green and bold otherwise it is blue. The tooltip says which page will be opened on click.

The
Loads > Merged Load and Trip Tickets page is only visible if you have access to both load tickets and trip tickets.

How Tickets Are Merged

Trip tickets are merged into a single view by finding:

  1. non-Matched Trip tickets.  These are tickets that you can see in the Trip Tickets View page that are not Matched with a Load Ticket.  See Matching Load and Trip Tickets.
  2. non-Matched Load tickets.  These are tickets that you can see in the All Load Tickets page that are not Matched with a Trip Ticket.
  3. Matched Trip and Load Tickets.  These are tickets that you can see in the Trip Tickets View page that do not have the status: Not Reconciled.

If there is only a trip ticket, or only a load ticket for the load, then the fields in the grid display the values from the trip ticket or load ticket as-is.  However if there is both a trip ticket and a load ticket for a particular load and they have been Matched, the values that display for each field depend on the configuration - a field can show the value from the trip ticket, the value from the load ticket, or a particular/constant value specified by the administrator. The rules that govern the data source for each field can be configured on the Admin > Setup > Ticket Merge Configuration  page.

  • These rules can vary for each scale site to reflect differences in the data feeds; this works as follows:
    • If you have configured rules for a specific scale site, those rules are used.
    • Otherwise if you have configured rules for "All Scale Sites" ( * ), those rules are used.
    • Otherwise the default configuration is used.

  • When there is both a trip ticket and a load ticket for a particular load, the configuration rule is applied irrespective of whether the field has a blank (null) value for one of the tickets. For example:
    • The Supplier field is configured to set Data Source to Trip Ticket.
    • For a particular load, there is a trip ticket with a blank (null) value in the Supplier field, and there is a load ticket with a non-blank value in the Supplier field.
    • As a result of the rule, the Supplier field in the Loads > Merged Load and Trip Tickets grid will be blank (null).
The Merge Type field indicates the data source for each record:
  • M = loads that have both a trip ticket and a load ticket.
  • T = loads that have only a trip ticket.
  • L = loads that have only a load ticket.
You can use the Merge Type field to filter the records that are displayed in the grid. For example, if you want to export only records that have a matching trip ticket and load ticket, you can filter for Merge Type = M. Setting a filter on this field is also useful to see load tickets that do not have an associated trip ticket or the reverse, which is helpful in determining whether there are missing tickets or if ticket details have been entered incorrectly.

Filtering Tickets by Date

You can filter the tickets that are displayed in the grid by date. For details, see Date Filters

The date filters on this page include the option of including tickets that have been modified within the selected date range. By default the date range is used to filter tickets using the scale date. If you select the Modified checkbox (Off by default), any ticket that was modified within the selected date range and re-synced to the app will be included in the grid.

Filtering Tickets by Columns

You can filter the tickets that are displayed in the grid using any of the columns in the grid (for example, you can limit the tickets that are displayed to a particular Hauler). For details, see Filtering.

Choosing Columns to Display in the Grid

You can change the columns that are displayed in the grid. For details, see Visible Columns.

Ordering and Resizing Columns

The order of columns in the grid can be changed, as can the width of each column. For details, see Reordering and Resizing Columns.

Exporting Tickets
Records in the grid can be exported to various formats. To export, filter the grid to show the records that you want to export, click the Export button  at the top-right corner of the page, and select the appropriate format from the dropdown list. For more information on exporting data, see Exporting Data.
