Matching Load and Trip Tickets

The Matching process determines if there is a unique match between any one load ticket and any one trip ticket.

This is used for both Reconciling Trip and Load tickets and for displaying  Merged Load and Trip Tickets.

This procedure attempts to find a unique match through each of the following five possible cases in order.  If any one case is satisfied, the tickets are matched and further checks are not made.

  1. Scale Site*, Scale Ticket Number and Scale Dates** match
  2. Scale Site*, Trip Ticket's Load Date = Scale Ticket's Date**, Trip Ticket ID = Load Ticket's Trip Ticket ID
  3. Scale Site*, Trip Ticket's Load Date = Scale Ticket's Date**, Trip Ticket LDS = Load Ticket's IncomingLDSNo ***
  4. Scale Site*, Trip Ticket's Load Date = Scale Ticket's Date**, External Ticket Number's match ***
  5. Scale Site*, Trip Ticket's Load Date = Scale Ticket's Date**, Trip Ticket ID = Load Ticket's IncomingLDSNo ***

*    The Scale Site on a Trip Ticket is determined through a translation between the Destination and Scale Site.  See the Trip Ticket Destination Translation help topic.

**     Scale Ticket Date is the Date of the load's arrival at the scale site.  When matching dates, a 10-day window is used.  This includes the ticket's date +/- 9 calendar days.

***    LDS (Load Description Slip) is sometimes called Security Ticket
